Overview

Following the successful completion of Phase 1 works, focused on basement soffit concrete repairs and fire protection, the Henley Restoration and Remedials division is proud to have been entrusted once again by Morgan Sindall Construction to deliver Phase 2 of the project at the University of Gloucestershire.

Phase 2 shifts focus to exterior concrete scar repairs, addressing surface degradation on the building’s façade. The continued partnership with Morgan Sindall is a testament to the high standards, professionalism, and collaborative spirit demonstrated by our team throughout Phase 1.

Background: Success of Phase 1

In Phase 1, our team tackled deteriorated concrete soffits in the basement, deploying media blasting for surface preparation and Fosroc Dry Spray application to restore structural strength. We also implemented fire protection solutions to enhance compliance and safety. These works were completed within a challenging 6-week programme, on time and to the highest standard.

Scope of Phase 2 Works

Phase 2 involves:

• Concrete scar repairs to the external structure, targeting weathered and spalled areas.

• Surface preparation and reinstatement, with careful material matching to maintain visual consistency across the building façade.

• Ensuring all repairs align with durability and aesthetic requirements set out by the client and project consultants.

Delivery and Results

We are pleased to confirm that all works on Phase 2 were completed on time, to specification, and with zero disruption to surrounding operations. Our team worked closely with the site team to coordinate activities efficiently and maintain safety and quality throughout.
