This prestigious project involves the sensitive restoration of a Grade II listed mansion block on Eaton Lane, combining historical preservation with modern construction techniques.

Project Overview

The Grosvenor Gardens project is a complex undertaking, requiring careful deconstruction of a rear section to facilitate a basement extension, alongside major structural interventions to the remaining building. The centerpiece of our work is the meticulous restoration of the Parisian façade, which demands the highest standards of craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Scope of Work

Henley Restoration and Remedials have been entrusted with several critical tasks:

  • Building Cleaning and Paint Stripping: Comprehensive cleaning and external paint stripping of the building to reveal and preserve its original materials.
  • Restoration Survey: Conducting a full restoration survey of the Grade II listed building to assess its condition and identify necessary repairs.
  • Material Analysis and Cleaning: Detailed analysis and cleaning of the external limestone, specifically Portland Stone, and tuck-pointed brickwork. This process included careful paint stripping in low-level areas to expose and restore the original stone.
