Project Details

Leiden, Holland

Our tinting team was called by one of our Dutch clients, who wasn’t able to achieve the clean they expected from the various water and steam cleaning systems they had employed by their local contractors.

We attended the museum to complete several specialist cleaning methods and colour matching samples which dramatically improved the overall hue finish and appearance of the brick and stonework. With any tinting and cleaning system to natural stone real care must be taken to ensure the hue is consistent over the whole building. Henley Restoration and Remedials adopt various batching techniques to ensure the finish provided is consistent but at the same time ensuring the natural patina of the historical stone or brick work is not lost by over cleaning and tinting,
When any carved masonry details and decorative features of a building are lightened it enables further shadows to form in carvings which results in a stunning and vastly improved overall look of the building.
