Henley Restoration and Remedials was entrusted with vital restoration works designed to conserve the former Henderson Relish Factory owned by The University of Sheffield.

Henderson’s Relish moved to its first factory on Leavygreave Road, Sheffield in 1910, the building comprises a two-storey redbrick building, dating from the late 19th century/early 20th century.

This much-loved Sheffield landmark became part of the University of Sheffields estate in 2015, the building has been vacant since 2013 and since that time has degraded and needed repair to secure a viable future.

The University of Sheffield and Principle Contractor Assix were tasked with rebuilding the former Henderson relish factory while using virtually identical bricks to help keep the building essentially the same as it always was.  Henley Restoration and Remedials were called upon to offer their specialist brickwork restoration expertise.

The Henley Restoration and Remedials team carried out the full brickwork re-install, structural alterations,  pointing, and brickwork cleaning.

After 6 months of delicate precision and focus we are proud to say our contribution to this eagerly anticipated project has been completed successfully and this fabulous landmark will continue to stand strong within Sheffield for many more years to come!

We are proud to have been part of this incredible restoration mission.
