Henley Restoration and Remedials completed the brickwork repairs of the Geography and Planning Building of Sheffield University after receiving an urgent call from one of their key clients.

While replacing windows they found existing brickwork deteriorating badly, preventing their new windows from being installed. The Henley Restoration and Remedials team quickly visited the site and produced a suitable repair drawing and scope of works required.

Brutalism is a style with an emphasis on materials, textures, and construction. Producing highly expressive forms, which have a synergy with some historic buildings that we work on. Just an example of how our skills can be transferred when needed.

In restoration, it is becoming more common to find repairs needed on modernist architecture which at times requires us to consider a more bespoke and tailored approach to these important landmark buildings.
